Welcome to Sacred Rose - Thirsk bellydancing website!

Teacher Jane Mowat started bellydancing in 1996 by attending a taster session with Roz Rayner-Rix.   This led to regular classes with Roz including working toward the Basthabda awards.  Encouraged by Roz to attend other workshops, Jane she has gone on to take workshops and masterclasses with  Sara Farouk, Yasmina, Raqia Hassan, Nadia Hamdi, Wendy Beunoventura, Kay Taylor, Anne Kingston, Candi Colgrave-Bell, Karine Butchart and the Bellydance Superstars.  Dancing under the performance name Jemina, Jane continues to attend workshops and masterclasses whenever she can to further her teaching and dancing skills.
